Call Screen user guide
No more unwanted callers. Call Screen re-routes unwelcome calls. When unwanted callers dial your number, an announcement informs them that you're not accepting calls. Your telephone doesn't ring. You can divert up to 12 phone numbers at one time. All other calls will get through.
Notes:
- Call Screen works with direct-dialed from most areas.
- Call Screen does not screen out "Unknown Numbers".
- If you have activated Call Forwarding, incoming calls from your Call Screen list will still receive the recorded announcement and not be forwarded.
- You can add a private number to your Call Screen list only if it is the last call you received. To add it, follow the instructions for adding the last incoming call. When reviewing your Call Screen list, this entry will be voiced back as "private".
- To screen out a call, the call must be from an area where Call Display services are available.
- To turn Call Screen on or off
- Pick up the handset and listen for a dial tone.
- Press *60.
- Dial 3.
- Hang up.
Note:
Call Screen must be turned on before changes can be made to your list.
- To add a phone number to your Call Screen list
- Pick up the handset and listen for a dial tone.
- Press *60.
- Press #.
- Dial the phone number to be added to your list.
- Press #.
- Hang up.
- Repeat steps 2 through 4 for each number to be added.
- To enter the phone number of the last incoming call
- Pick up the handset and listen for a dial tone.
- Press *60.
- Press #.
- Press 01.
- Press #.
- Hang up.
- To remove a phone number from your list
- Pick up the handset and listen for a dial tone.
- Press *60.
- Press *.
- Dial the phone number to be removed.
- Press *.
- Listen for the voice prompt verification and press 1 if correct, if incorrect press 0.
- Hang up.
- Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each number to be removed.
- To remove all numbers from your Call Screen list
- Pick up the headset and listen for a dial tone.
- Press *60.
- Press *.
- Press 08.
- Press *.
- Listen for the voice prompt verification and press 1 if correct, if incorrect press 0.
- Hang up.
- To review the phone numbers in your list
- Pick up the handset and listen for a dial tone.
- Press *60.
- Press 1. A computerized voice prompt will then list the numbers in your Call Screen list.
Note:
If you wish to delete any numbers on the list, simply press 07 after you hear the number.
- Hang up.
